Inspiring Mind-Body Connection

I am a licensed Nia Technique™ teacher offering Nia classes as a way to connect your mind and body though movement. I am also educated in Craniosacral Therapy to help relieve tension and promote a feeling of well-being. Read more about these two modalities below.

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle hands-on technique that uses a light touch to examine membranes and movement of the fluids in and around the central nervous system. Relieving tension in the central nervous system promotes a feeling of well-being by eliminating pain and boosting health and immunity.

By facilitating the body's natural and innate healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and has been shown to be beneficial for people seeking help with a wide range of healthcare challenges and symptoms.

All systems of the body are intertwined and by stimulating one system, we can impact another to heal.

We bring awareness to your body sensations to support your understanding and healing of trauma.

Nia

Nia is an internationally acclaimed cardiovascular mind-body movement practice. As the first practice to combine martial arts, dance arts and healing arts, Nia has fundamentally changed people’s lives with its evolutionary approach to fitness and wellness.

One of Nia’s main appeals is that it benefits people of all ages and ability levels. All Nia movements are based on what we call The Body’s Way – a method of moving the body in accordance with its natural design and function. Participants are encouraged to explore three planes of movement (low, middle, high) and to choose from three intensity levels based on their individual needs.
